Conductor has 32 amps current carrying capacity – less chance of overload and heat build up.

Adaptor engagement contacts have 24 amps current carrying capacity. The maximum load current of traditional power points is 16 amps. This increased capacity allows for the safer handling of fault or overload currents.

Shutters on the front of the adaptors prevent contact to the live parts by objects other than 2/3 pin plugs. This shutter minimises the risk of accidental electrocution when the adaptor is engaged or disengaged from the track.

When adaptors are not in use, they can be removed making safety paramount, compared to permanent power points which can be easily tampered with when not in use.
