What is Mainline track power system?

Mainline consists of the power track and adaptor. The system allows electrical power to be tapped off anywhere along the track through the use of specially designed adaptors.

Who can fit a Mainline adaptor?

Anyone can fit, remove or reposition an adaptor as and when required.

How many times can the adaptors be inserted into the track?

As many times as required to change their position.

Can data cables be installed together with Mainline?

Data cables can be installed inside Data Trunks, which can be dressed either side of the Mainline track.

Can the adaptor be moved?

Yes. The adaptor is designed to be fitted anywhere along the length of track. Remove the adaptor from one position, and relocate it to another.

Yes. Mainline can be coloured through various processes to match the surroundings of the installation.

Who can install Mainline?

Mainline must only be installed by an Electrician who has gained accreditation from a licensed distributor. Contact your local distributor.

What is the rated current for the track and adaptor?

The track is rated at 32amp for continuous operation. The adaptor is rated at 10amp.

How many adaptors are allowed to be used concurrently along a length of track?

The number of adaptors is dependent on the total load current consumed at that point of time rather than the absolute number of tap-off units connected. Maximum load current available on the system is subjected to the rating of the MCB at the Distribution Board supplying to the final sub-circuit. In practice, the track can fit up to 16 adaptors per metre.
